Project Aim

The project will establish a network of universities and Small to Medium Size Enterprises, across North-West Europe, to facilitate transnational knowledge and technology transfer that can enable responsible innovation. The network will provide support for these entities to work together in understanding and ultimately adopting responsible innovation approaches.

EDC’s Involvement

Responsible and open innovation are new concepts that are core to the project. A key part of EDC’s role is to develop a common understanding amongst project partners of what these new concepts actually mean for universities, Small to Medium Size Enterprises and government.

Key Project Outcomes

  • An innovation map of North-West Europe
  • Transnational network events for universities and Small to Medium Size Enterprises
  • An open Information and Communications Technology (ICT) platform to support this transnational collaboration
  • Transnational collaborative projects
  • Small to Medium Size Enterprise training in undertaking responsible innovation and transnational collaboration
